One Thing After Another explores the relationship of printmaking to the proliferation of serial imagery in the contemporary celebrity painting period. classic serial print projects from pop art and minimalism painting are juxtaposed with works from 1980s and 1990s. artists included range from andy warhol, roy lichtenstein, ellsworth kelly, and brice marden to rosemarie trockel, john armleder, yukinori yanagi, and anish kapoor. pop and after juxtaposes major works of the 1960s by american and european artists, which focus on mass media and the iconography of consumer culture, with works by younger creators of the 1980s and 1990s that extend and twist the stylistic and social concerns of pop art. artists included range from andy warhol, claes oldenburg, and roy lichtenstein to jeff koons, david celebrity painting hammons, and damien painting and celebrity hirst. do not store or display works of art in areas painting of potentially high humidity or water leakage, e.g. basement, bathroom, outside walls, under pipes. celebrity avoid areas where temperature and humidity fluctuate, or where there is inadequate painting air circulation, e.g. attic and places listed above. do not hang artworks over or under radiators, heating and cooling vents, active fireplaces, humidifiers, and vaporizersa. the hygroscopic nature of wood means that it will take water celebrity from the atmosphere and expand, but it will contract as the humidity lessens. the direction of shrinkage is almost always around the circumference, which causes a solid piece of wood to crack vertically. keeping it in a steady relative humidity can stabilize the sculpture; if the wood does not painting absorb or release moisture, it will no longer expand or contract.
